Survey Says...

A HUGE thank you to the almost 20% of you who have already responded to the survey I sent out a few weeks ago. Here are some of the highlights:

1 out of 3 said that you were okay were you were but wondering if there was something else you could be doing

In order to change your work situation:
3 out of 5 said you needed more confidence, and
almost half needed more belief in yourself

More than 2/3 said that the ‘story of the month’ was the most useful part of the newsletter, whilst you also found the main article and inspiring resources useful in your escape. Additional requests included:
• more stories of people staying in the corporate sector
• exercises and tools that you can use to figure out some of the answers to your questions

And an overwhelming majority of you wanted to keep Escape Stories as a monthly publication.

As to who you are - 2 out of 3 are 31-40 year olds and about half work for the corporate sector, most as project managers.

That’s the exec summary. The more detailed answers will be used to guide future issues of Escape Stories.

If you still want to contribute - click here to access the survey

  Hello!

I hope your summer (and winter for readers on the Southern Hemisphere) is going well! Thank you to all of you who took time to respond to the Escape Stories reader survey – I very much appreciate it. I got valuable insights to who you all are and how ES can best support you. You can see some of the highlights from the survey in the sidebar on the left.

In this issue, there is no ‘escape story’, as I’m collecting new ones as we speak. There are quite a few other events etc going on so I thought I’d put together an August issue to make sure you found out about these on time. In addition, I’ve started a ‘tool/exercise of the month’ as some of you requested in the survey - this first one starts by exploring your passions and inspirations - enjoy!

Until next month then – passion, inspiration and joy!

Satu :)

PS Had to share this with you - if you love Star Wars and are keen on organic food - check out this little 5 minute movie - guaranteed to put a smile on your face: http://www.storewars.org/flash/index.html

PPS We grow by word of mouth, please forward this newsletter to anyone you feel would benefit from receiving it as well.

    EXERCISE: Passion, Inspiration & Joy

As I wrote in my intro, this will be a new addition to Escape Stories – exercises and tools that are aimed to help you in your thought and escape processes. We’ll start with an exercise that helps you to explore what brings you passion, inspiration and joy.

Let me know any insights you get from doing this and/or any feedback you may have on the types of exercises/tools you would like to have access to in the future.

Awaken the Giant Within by Anthony Robbins

I’ve recommended this book to two people in the past week, so thought it might be useful to all of you as well.

The first recommendation went to an old friend, who has huge potential and desire to do big things, and yet is finding it difficult to access the confidence he used to have, and is thus limiting his own potential. So why did I recommend this to him? This book is great inspiration and gives practical ideas for how to get out of your own way, and as the title says: Awaken the Giant Within!

The second recommendation went to a client, who wanted to explore her weaknesses. The chapter on beliefs was an eye-opener for her, as she understood that her limiting beliefs about herself were actually her biggest weakness.

It’s written in bestseller type style, but as my client said: it doesn’t hurt to see how easily positive life can be, if you just choose it to be. So if you are seeking inspiration and ideas for how to change your limiting beliefs and attitudes into empowering ones – read this book!

Would you like to embark on career coaching but would prefer to do this in a group environment? I’ve recently had several enquiries for group coaching, and need a few more people to confirm before a group could start.

Basically, at the end of this program, you will have a clear plan outlining your needs, values, transferable skills, strengths and experiences, a direction for your career based on your passions and interests, and an action plan to move you forward.

The programme consists of 12 one hour phone sessions in a group of 3-4 people over a 4 month period. You would benefit not only from being coached by me but also by sharing experiences with your group members. As it's telephone-based, anyone from anywhere in the world can join!

A group coaching session costs 30 pounds (compared to 65-80 pounds for one-to-one sessions) – so the monthly rate for this programme is 90 pounds, and the whole programme totals at only 360 pounds! Interested? Email me at coach@satukreu la.com for more information and to book a free phone consultation session.

If you prefer one-to-one sessions, and want to explore how you could benefit from coaching, email me to book a free phone consultation session to further discuss your situation.
